When the Fenwick neighborhood was developed a few decades ago the perimeter brick walls were built in sections. One long section on 164th Street next to Garden Village (the west gated area) was not built in the same manner as the other perimeter walls. This particular wall section is only one brick thick and not of the same strong quality as the other walls that stand along Western Ave, Penn Ave, or the east end of 164th Street.
Many sections of the wall have degenerated to the point of becoming a safety hazard now or in the near future. The HOA Board decided the safest and most cost efficient method is to replace all of those inferior wall panels at one time.
This wall section on the west end of 164th Street is now being demolished and we appreciate your patience during the reconstruction process as it may require one to two months. The sidewalk that runs along the inside of the brick wall may be blocked off for safety reasons.
If you have any questions or concerns, please attend the Fenwick HOA Board meeting Monday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Clubhouse or email fenwickcommunity@gmail.com.
Meet some great neighbors and help out in this wonderful community by working at the Fenwick pool this summer!
Fenwick HOA is hiring multiple pool monitors to check in residents, enforce pool rules and maintain the pool deck and bathroom areas.
This is a great PAID opportunity for adults and college students. Pay is $10 per hour.
The pool is open every day (except Mondays) from the Saturday before Memorial Day in May through Labor Day in September (14 weeks). Hired monitors can work a few days per week in four-hour increments. Morning/early afternoon, mid-afternoon and evening shifts available.
Must have good customer service and organizational skills, and able to: work in hot temperatures in a shaded outdoor area, communicate with both adults and children, and straighten/pick up the pool deck and bathrooms as needed.
If interested, please complete the form below to explain why you could be a good fit for this position and when you would be available to work (your preference of days and time periods). If your work or volunteering history shows you have the abilities required, please share that information as well. If you have any questions, please email fenwickpool@gmail.com.
