  • Know the basic breathing and blowing bubbles of swimming.
  • Swim at least half the Fenwick Pool unassisted.
  • They do not need to know every stroke but should know the basics of Freestyle.

Parents Should Know:

Frozen Ponds Look Fun, But Can Be Deadly!

Our recent hard freezes have caused part of our Fenwick ponds to freeze over. Lately, neighbors have reported seeing kids venturing out onto the ice.

PLEASE talk with your children about the dangers of playing on the ice, and tell them to stay away from the water when it’s cold.

Experts say when it’s 38 degrees F or colder outside, water can be deathly cold — literally. When temperatures are in the low double digits, like they have been lately, you have about 30 seconds after you fall in the water before you become unconscious.

The thickness of the ice can be deceiving. If you take a stick and poke it, you’ll see it’s often not even 1/2 inch thick. This is not strong enough to support even a small animal, much less a child or teenager.

Help keep your kids and pets safe this winter. Tell kids to stay away from the ponds and creeks, and don’t walk your pet near the water; they can run out onto the ice before you know it!

Fenwick 2018 HOA Dues

Fenwick (Main) HOA Dues – Due February 15, 2018 – Pay By Credit Card

2018 annual HOA dues for all three Fenwick areas and assessments for private streets and gates were invoiced accordingly to all accounts on Jan 1st, 2018 as outlined in annual notices sent last fall.

Statements will be sent out mid-Jan and the first due date for ALL sections is February 15th this year.

If you live in one of the private gated areas of Fenwick you are also required to pay extra dues to maintain your private streets and gates – this is in addition to everyone paying the main Association dues for mowing and landscaping of all common areas and entrances, maintaining and managing the pool and Clubhouse, changing out seasonal flowers at all entrances and many other projects to keep Fenwick beautiful.

ATTENTION: Separate checks are required! Please do not combine your main HOA dues with your Gated east or FGV dues. It’s also helpful if you do not staple or crease your checks.

Payment Options: You can drop checks off at the mailbox at the curb in front of the Clubhouse or pay by credit card using PayPal (buttons are updated on each community’s website; PayPal convenience fees apply).

Everyone owes $350 for the main Association due on or before Feb 15th, 2018. Detailed amounts and due dates for the private gated areas of Fenwick are provided below:

Fenwick Garden Village (FGV) 2018 dues are $500 (total) payable in full anytime but the following due dates apply:
$160 for a special street repair assessment due on or before Feb 15th, 2018
$340 annual dues assessment which is due on or before June 1st, 2018.

Fenwick Gated (east) 2018 dues are $350 payable in full anytime but the following due dates apply:
$175 on or before Feb 15th, 2018
$175 on or before July 1st, 2018

If you have any questions about your dues, please contact HOA Management.

The next Maintenance Committee meeting will be held at the Clubhouse on the 1st Monday of the month at 6:00pm. All members of the HOA are encouraged to come and participate.

Saddlecreek Pavilion Restored

Saddlecreek Pavilion Restored
Aug 2017

The Saddlecreek Pavilion in northeast Fenwick has a new look!  This covered, outdoor pavilion has been cleaned and painted, and the electrical outlets and nighttime lighting fixed. It’s ready for your next get-together or hangout!

With a concrete picnic table, this is the perfect location for a picnic lunch, small group gathering, barbecue/grilling party (BYOG – bring your own grill), or a walking rest stop. The pavilion is located at the end of the Fenwick walking trail at Saddlecreek Way.  Fenwick residents are encouraged to check it out!

DID YOU KNOW – The pavilion is older than all of our homes. The land Fenwick sits on was previously an oil field, and the pavilion was built so the oil workers had a place to eat lunch.
