Fenwick’s 2020 Fall Community Garage Sale will be held Fri & Sat, Sept. 18-19 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The 2021 sale dates will likely be held in early June and mid-September. We’ll set the specific dates in January.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: If inclement weather is expected, we will hold a make-up/rain date the following weekend. In the event of bad weather, we will make the decision to postpone the Monday prior to the sales so that residents can plan.

Consistent dates: So that residents can plan for garage sales each year, we are designating the FIRST weekend in June and the THIRD weekend in September each year for our garage sales.

You may hold your sale any time during those hours. You do not have to stay open from 8:00 to 5:00; you just can’t open any earlier or stay open any later.

The gated sections of Fenwick will have the gates open during these times to accommodate shoppers.

Each participating household is required to obtain a $7.00 permit from the city of Oklahoma City. Get your permit online here. You can print out an application and mail it in with a check, or purchase online with a credit card. (required if participating – maximum fine is $200!).

Fenwick Homeowner’s Association will promote the sale by advertising in The Oklahoman, Craigslist, NextDoor and Facebook. We will place banners outside the neighborhood entrances the week prior to the sale.

NEW THIS YEAR!  We are compiling a neighborhood map of all the sales in the neighborhood. If you let us know you’re having a sale (fill out the form below or call 405-290-8723!), we’ll add you to the map. Thursday before the sale, we’ll drop off maps at every address that has registered with us, so you can hand the maps out to shoppers. This will help people find their way around our neighborhood and increase our shopper traffic even more! *note: you are not required to let us know you’re having a sale, and your information will not be used for any other purpose. The maps will be printed and provided at no cost to you.

Frozen Ponds Look Fun, But Can Be Deadly!

Our recent hard freezes have caused part of our Fenwick ponds to freeze over. Lately, neighbors have reported seeing kids venturing out onto the ice.

PLEASE talk with your children about the dangers of playing on the ice, and tell them to stay away from the water when it’s cold.

Experts say when it’s 38 degrees F or colder outside, water can be deathly cold — literally. When temperatures are in the low double digits, like they have been lately, you have about 30 seconds after you fall in the water before you become unconscious.

The thickness of the ice can be deceiving. If you take a stick and poke it, you’ll see it’s often not even 1/2 inch thick. This is not strong enough to support even a small animal, much less a child or teenager.

Help keep your kids and pets safe this winter. Tell kids to stay away from the ponds and creeks, and don’t walk your pet near the water; they can run out onto the ice before you know it!

Updated Pool Information

5/21/2018

Fenwick Pool Lap Swimming

Beginning May 26, 2018.

Lap swimming is available from 6 to 8 a.m., every day except Monday when the pool is closed. (The pool will be closed from 8 to 10 a.m. for daily cleaning.)

You MUST request keycard access if you want to lap swim during these times. If you do not request access, your keycard will not open the pool gate except during regular pool hours. To request this special access, contact CCMS by e-mail at ccmsok@gmail.com, or call (leave a msg!) or text 405 410-4048.  Please provide your current pool key-card # if convenient OR the last name under which your key-card is registered so this time zone can be easily added for your special pool access.

Clubhouse restrooms will NOT be available during lap swim times.

Lap swimming is for Fenwick residents, ages 16 and up only.

Please clean up after yourself and leave the pool area as you found it.

Depending on how many lap swimmers we have, we may or may not need to use the lane ropes. If we do use them, then after swimming, the lane ropes need to be removed from the pool and stored along the fence. If you are the last person swimming laps, please be responsible for taking out the lane ropes.
